Bio

O’Love Jacobsen is a Niuean politician and diplomat. She served as Niue’s High Commissioner to New Zealand from 2011 to 2017, succeeding Sisilia Talagi, Niue’s first female diplomat and High Commissioner. Prior to that, she held various ministerial roles in the Niue Assembly and government, including Minister of Health, Public Works, Women’s Affairs, and Education. Jacobsen is also a member of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association and Patroness of the Niuean Volleyball Association. She resigned from government and the Assembly in 2011 to become Niue’s High Commissioner to New Zealand. After her term, she contested the Niuean general election but lost the Premiership vote. She was re-elected in subsequent elections in 2020 and 2023.
