Sonya Talagi is a Niuean politician and Cabinet Minister, and the daughter of former Premier Toke Talagi. She previously served as the Director of Transport for the Niuean Government. In the 2023 Niuean general election, she was elected to the Niue Assembly, narrowly defeating Birtha Lisimoni-Togahai by two votes. On 12 May 2023, she was appointed as the Minister for Education and Social Services in Dalton Tagelagi’s Cabinet.
