Senator Konman made history as the first woman elected to the FSM National Congress. Her victory came in a bye-election held in November 2021, where she garnered 2,532 votes. Her closest competitors, Myron I. Hashiguchi and Inson I. Namper, received 1,962 and 1,292 votes respectively.
A medical doctor with over 30 years of experience and education in the field, Senator Konman was born on September 29, 1972, on Fefan island in Chuuk state. She is the widow of the late Congressman Derensio S. Konman and is a proud mother of six children.
